New The Last of Us 2 Cinematic Introduces New Characters

Naughty Dog never stops pushing the envelope when it comes to incredible, photo-realistic titles, and Last of Us Part 2 looks to be no different. Tribes seem to have formed following the years and events of the first game, with allegiances between perhaps the dysfunctional Fireflies and whoever opposes them. The only thing we know is that Ellie will be the main playable character.

The gameplay opened with a couple women being taken captive.

The woman looked up to see corpses hanging above her. He questions that, saying, "But she's one of them!" We knew from the first game that it was a cut-throat world out there, but this new trailer shows just how extreme and unsafe is. The latter is especially curious, given that she'll be the playable character this time around. Before the other man can do the same to her other arm, arrows start flying at them from an unknown source.

Will David Ross become next Cubs bench coach?
In giving the Martinez, 53, a three-year contract, Nationals ownership broke with longstanding (and controversial) form. The last rookie manager to lead a team to a World Series title was Bob Brenly with the Diamondbacks in 2001.

But that hasn't stopped viewers from making big guesses as to who this woman, who ends up breaking free of her noose and grabbing a hammer that's just been used as a murder weapon, may be.

Shortly after the fight with the humans, the three teamed up to face a swarm of Infected that suddenly appeared.

While the trailer doesn't give away too many concrete details and lacks an appearance from the protagonists of the series, it does show us several new characters. The trailer of "The Last of Us Part 2" ended there. [This new trailer] speaks to that.
