Harvey Weinstein Officially Dethroned From The Weinstein Company

In it, the Oscar victor - who worked with Weinstein on films like August: Osage County and The Iron Lady - says she did not know about the alleged "inappropriate, coercive acts" Weinstein was accused of in last week's New York Times story or the financial settlements he reportedly reached with multiple women. "Next steps will depend on Harvey's therapeutic progress, the outcome of the Board's independent investigation, and Harvey's own personal decisions".

Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein was sacked on Sunday from the company he co-founded.

The statement said his termination was a result of "new information about misconduct by Harvey Weinstein that has emerged in the past few days". Movie executive Harvey Weinstein just got fired from the company that bears his name, the Weinstein Company.

The announcement comes after The New York Times published an article last Thursday chronicling sexual harassment claims dating back nearly three decades, from former employees at the Weinstein Company and his previous company, Miramax.

The Times reporter Jodi Kantor explained why the women revealed the past events so many years later.

He also said that the Delhi goverment was ready to take over the DMRC. The minimum fare will be Rs 10 and the maximum would be Rs 60.

Weinstein apparently argued that the scandal would blow over but the nine-member board, whose three members had resigned following the allegations, disagreed.

The dismissal comes after The New York Times reported Thursday that Weinstein has reached at least eight legal settlements with women over alleged harassment.

Meryl Streep has broken her silence on the allegations that Harvey Weinstein routinely sexually harassed women, which some have referred to as an open secret in Hollywood.

Co-founder, with his brother Bob, production companies Miramax and The Weinstein Company, it has accumulated the the most prestigious awards of the seventh art, in Cannes or at the Oscars in particular.

Those involved include Kiss The Girls star Ashley Judd and Rose McGowan, who appeared in films including Scream, according to the New York Times.
