Trevor Noah Weighs In On The Donald Trump/NFL Controversy

He has since doubled down on his criticism, calling for the National Football League to ban players from kneeling during the anthem.

"Just so we're on the same page", Noah said Monday night on The Daily Show, "when Nazis were protesting in Charlottesville, Trump said, "Some of these were very fine people". but then when black football players protest peacefully by taking a knee during the anthem, he calls them "sons of bitches" who should be fired?"

"Wow, son of a bitch?", Colbert said. That was unnecessary. That was unnecessary roughness. "I can say that with confidence".

The blowback, Colbert noted, was immediate.

He then shouted to the audience: "Listen to this: Donald TrumpDonald John TrumpBiden slams Trump over golf gif hitting Clinton Trump Jr. declines further Secret Service protection: report Report: Mueller warned Manafort to expect an indictment MORE is president". Standing with locked arms is good, kneeling is not acceptable.

Kneeling during the national anthem has everything to do with race. He showcased some of the criticism from members of the Trump administration and Fox News, who've called the protests disrespectful and the protesters ungrateful. "That's the whole thing that they're protesting in the first place!" Saying kneeling was a protest against the American flag, that's like saying Gandhi's hunger strikes were a protest against snacking. "You do realize the civil rights activists weren't sitting at the lunch counter for better grilled cheese".

Nokia 3310 now in 3G: Launch, Price, Specifications and Features
The specifications of the New Nokia 3310 3G variant are nearly same to the old Nokia 3310 which was launched earlier this year. Unfortunately, the decision to make it 2G-only meant that any imported devices were destined to become bricks in Australia.

On NBC's Late Night, both host Seth Meyers and writer Amber Ruffin took on Trump's comments.

"Tensions with North Korea over its nuclear program are escalating, and there's now an urgent humanitarian crisis in Puerto Rico where more than 3 million American citizens are now without power after Hurricane Maria", he began. "You can not protest if you're black".

He then mocked Trump's assurance that this had "nothing to do with race." Just like your presidency. This had nothing to do with Donald Trump. When black athletes peacefully protest racism and police brutality, Trump has no trouble summoning his outrage.

"Don't be shocked if Donald Trump gets a second term", Noah said at one point. Steph Curry already said he ain't going! "Because I can't decide what scares me more".

"Forget being president, what kind of a human being wants more brain damage?" I'm just waiting for Trump to be like, 'What's with all these seatbelts, folks? His response has left Trevor Noah wondering: When, exactly, is it convenient for white people for black people to exercise their First Amendment right? "But when white supremacists march with Nazi flags and confederate flags through the streets of an American city, he equivocates and then defends them".

"That's like waving a picture of your ex around", Noah quipped.
