Trump tweets about 'loser terrorists' after London Underground attack

Asked when it took so long for him to denounce white supremacists, the president had an explanation in mind. At the time, he said: "When I make a statement, I like to be correct".

A City Hall source said: "He hopes people don't speculate on things before we know the full facts". I want the facts....

The explosion, on a District Line Tube in the British capitals southwest, occurred as the train pulled into Parsons Green station.

There were further fears over leaks of Friday's probe when "CBS This Morning" tweeted a photo of the improvised device, saying "A source close to investigation says the bucket contained explosive materials consistent with other recent terrorist incident".

In several Twitter comments beginning at 3:42 a.m. EDT, Trump suggested the attack was committed by a "loser terrorist" already known to London's Metropolitan Police, also known as Scotland Yard.

The US President tweeted a response this morning, taking aim at terrorists who he described as "sick and demented".

Londoners will never be intimidated or defeated by terrorism.

ESPN condemned her tweet, calling it "inappropriate " and noting that it did not "represent the position of ESPN ". Smith "appearing on the show last night and doing the show the way they did is the outcome we always desired".

Trump responded to the incident on Twitter, blaming it on terrorists and making the case for his travel ban on visitors from six Muslim-majority countries. He has used the phrase more sparingly since taking office, avoiding it during his remarks on the anniversary of the September 11 attacks.

Trump did not offer any policy plans, and instead went on to promote his proposed travel ban and critique "political correctness".

And Trump promoted his handling of extremist militants, saying the government should cut off internet access for such groups.

"Must be proactive!" He then added: "Loser terrorists must be dealt with in a much tougher manner", without giving details of what that meant. The internet is their main recruitment tool which we must cut off & use better!' And, he said, his administration was doing more to combat ISIS than the Obama White House. Must be proactive & nasty!'

The president has used attacks before to argue for his ban and to lob trans-Atlantic criticism. "We need the Travel Ban as an extra level of safety!" Police advised people to avoid the area in southwest London.

The Department of Homeland Security has been working on a report about countries that US authorities say do not provide adequate information to vet their travelers.

The bomber's identity and details of the probe leaked to USA media before British officials felt ready to disclose them.
