The 33-year-old has penned the soundtrack to Blade Runner 2022, which fills fans in on events between the original movie, set in 2019, and the forthcoming sequel Blade Runner 2049.

After his most recent foray into directing with the surrealist feature, KUSO this will be Flying Lotus' fifth time scoring a film. The short is directed by Jake Scott (son of Ridley) and focusses on Dave Bautista's (who played Drax in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 earlier this year) Sapper Montan, who is revealed to be replicant.

With just under a month until the release of Blade Runner 2049, director Denis Villeneuve has announced that he's asked three directors to make short prequel films to set up that story-and the first one is out now. However, given that the design brief was presumably to produce a series of posters explaining to audiences who's who in the movie, I guess you can call it a job done (if not a job particularly well done).

I'm loving the original marketing for Blade Runner 2049, whether it's from Warner Bros.' distribution wing here in the States or Sony Pictures Entertainment in Japan. The brief video above also offers a closer look at its test animation, concept art, and some actual footage.

But all that got lost in confusion after Travis said, "I believe in only two things completely - the First Amendment and boobs ". Travis criticized ESPN after host Jemele Hill called President Donald Trump a white supremacist Tuesday.

"The work that has influenced me the most in my anime profession would be, of course, Blade Runner", Watanabe says in the clip, translated by Kotaku.

Blade Runner 2049, starring Bautista, Leto, Ryan Gosling and a returning Harrison Ford, is set to arrive in theaters on October 6.

Ridley Scott had the genius to blend science-fiction and film noir to create this unique exploration of human condition.

Over 35 years since Blade Runner came out, its sequel is nearly upon us. "The new Blade Runner is an extension of the first movie a few decades later".
