National Hurricane Center (NHC) latest forecast for Hurricane Jose has the Category 1 storm turning northeast back into the Atlantic over the next five days.

With maximum sustained winds of 70 miles per hour, Jose was downgraded from a hurricane to a tropical storm in the hurricane center's 11 a.m. ET advisory.

The agency said that Jose is "expected to restrengthen by the weekend".
