Mourinho reacts to Lukaku's late miss against Stoke City

Nemanja Matic has warned Manchester United that they can not afford too many repeats of their 2-2 draw at Stoke if they are to land the Premier League title. It was perfectly understandable, though part of me would have liked to see more of the Mata-Henrikh Mkhitaryan-Paul Pogba creative axis.

United dropped points for the first time this season in a 2-2 draw at the bet365 Stadium on Saturday.

Poor old Hughes. Every man and his dog has refused to shake his hand.

Mourinho said "it's not easy to come from behind" at Stoke on a normal day.

Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting's brace for Stoke cancelled out goals from Marcus Rashford and Romelu Lukaku for United, who still remain top of the table after matchday four.

"I prefer not to answer question about handshakes".

Meanwhile the South Korean president said that "perhaps the time has come for stronger sanctions" on Pyongyang. North Korea says it needs to develop its weapons to defend itself against what it sees as USA aggression.

During his post-match interview, the Stoke City manager said: "I pushed him because he was in my technical area".

"I know after national teams (international matches) there are injuries or fatigue or lack of concentration, and we had a little bit of everything. We didn't allow them as much space and everything I asked the guys to do, they fulfilled".

In typical fashion, however, the "Special One" claimed that Stoke were focused on securing a draw rather than victory themselves. It has to be viewed as a negative result for him.

Yet as he proved in his final days at Chelsea and during an antagonistic few months that saw him fined, banned and clashing with FA officials and referees in the first half of last season at United, Mourinho's tactic of presenting an image of his team being victims of conspiracies when results go against them is no longer effective.

When speaking with the BBC about the incident, Mourinho was quite irritated.
