However, the Norwegian Nobel Committee refuses to rescind the award, saying only the work which led to the prize is taken into account.

South Africa Anti-Apartheid campaigner and social rights activist, Desmond Tutu has condemned Burma's Aung San Suu Kyi for her silence on the painful and dreaded "ethnic cleansing" of Rohingya Muslims in her country.

The latest flight of Rohingya began two weeks ago after Rohingya insurgents attacked security force posts in Myanmar's Rakhine State. The military has been torturing and killing the population while burning their villages to ashes. Russian Federation and China did not send any diplomats, according to people at the meeting. "She has to strike a balance between worldwide criticism and domestic support". Still, I fail to see how thousands of people are responsible for the aforementioned incident.

A Nobel Peace Prize recipient who defied Myanmar's military dictatorship is now presiding over what United Nations officials call "a textbook case of ethnic cleansing" against a religious and ethnic minority.

As defined in Article 2 of the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide authored in 1948, a genocide is defined as "any of the following acts committed with the intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such: killing members of the group; causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group; deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part; imposing measures meant to prevent births within the group; [and] forcibly transferring children of the group to another group". Also Suu Kyi couldn't become president because both her sons hold foreign passports, a violation of the constitutional norm that require the head of state, their spouse and children to be Myanmar citizens. It was her first visit to the country, despite being awarded honorary Canadian citizenship in 2007 as a result of efforts from the former Conservative government.

The Rohingya, described by the United Nations as the world's most persecuted people, have faced heightened fears of attack since dozens were killed in communal violence in 2012.

Even after Myanmar (Burma) gained independence in 1948, the Rohingyas faced no problem living there. Many who found their way to Myanmar in those days were veterans of recent tragedies in Rwanda and the Balkans.

The minister's office urged that the Rohingya be recognized and respected in the country. The current strategy could trigger a bigger humanitarian crisis in the region while creating newer political opportunities for ARSA to operate, survive, and grow. Myanmar does not only kill innocent people, its actions are not allowing aid to the victims. The world seems to have failed to learn from its previous actions, as it is doing nothing to avoid such atrocities. Soldiers have been reported to set fire to homes and to shoot at people. UN Secretary General, António Guterres, said the violence bordered on ethnic cleansing. The media continues to favour and prioritise certain catastrophes over others. We must use our voices and platforms to speak up, offer help, and donate.

"We feel so strongly about what is happening in Myanmar to the Rohingya minority there that we have asked the chief executive to get the legal department and the legal team to look at what are the mechanisms, procedures and legalities involved in removing the freedom of the city from someone", he said.

"The corporate and special interests who championed Hilary Clinton in the last USA election spent years working with think tanks, neoconservatives, and hawkish elements in the Atlantic World security apparatus in order to engineer a strategy for containing China while at once promoting Atlantic World corporate and military interests, all of which was packaged using the "Pivot to Asia" paradigm sold by Hilary Clinton as Obama's secretary of state".

Odell Beckham Jr.'s Week 1 playing status 'in doubt'
The Giants' secondary consistently came up with big plays - their 17 interceptions were fourth in the league previous year . So much has been written about Elliott it's easy to forget about the other offensive superstar in this game.
