Nintendo is releasing a new hardware soon in the form of SNES Classic.

Nintendo says that they will be producing more of the SNES Classic than the NES Classic, but the pre-order situation is a bit disheartening.

Notably, there are still several retailers planning to offer pre-orders of the SNES Classic Edition that have yet to go live: Toys "R" Us, Target, Walmart, and GameStop.

Nintendo said this month it would open pre-orders some time in August.

Mane scores as Liverpool beats Palace 1-0 in Premier League
The Scotland global sent in multiple enticing crosses in the first half that teammates should have converted. After Liverpool's 2-1 midweek win at Hoffenheim, Klopp had no choice but to rotate, making five changes.

Due to a possible "technical glitch", Walmart made the pre-sale for the Super NES Classic Editions available in July - and, of course, they sold out within minutes. The consoles are set to ship on September 29, but pre-orders are what you need to be looking for right now.

In his preview of the SNES Classic, IGN host and producer Brian Altano had nothing but praise for the console and concern for your odds of finding one.

For what it's worth, Nintendo says the SNES Classic Edition won't suffer the same supply issues as the NES Classic Edition. If the SNES Classic Edition is left idle for long enough, the system will show actual gameplay footage on the screen instead of a predetermined generic image or animation sequence. If you haven't already pre-ordered you'll have to pay through the nose for one, or even fight for it. If this sounds familiar, it's because this happened previous year when the Nintendo Classic Edition went on sale but quantities were so limited that many consumers were unable to get their hands on the console they grew up playing for hours on end.

Star Fox 2 was never released during the console's '90s heyday, and can be unlocked on the SNES Classic Mini by completing the first level of the original Star Fox.
