Netflix Renews GLOW For Season Two

Netflix Renews GLOW For Season Two

Netflix's wrestling show Glow (Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling) will return for a second season.

The Season 2 announcement came from the official Netflix Twitter, along with a short teaser clip of a women's lips covered in sparkly lipstick, perhaps a hint of the costume changes coming for the ladies. That means more headlocks, dropkicks, and professional tension fueled by the personal drama between its leading stars, Ruth "Zoya the Destroya" Wilder (Alison Brie) and Debbie "Liberty Belle" Eagan (Betty Gilpin). Brie stars as Ruth Wilder, a struggling actress who auditions for GLOW as a last-ditch attempt to break into the industry. Jenji Kohan and Tara Herrmann (Orange is the New Black) serve as executive producers while series creators Liz Flahive (Homeland) and Carly Mensch (Orange is the New Black) act as show runners. And at the wheel is Sam Sylvia (Marc Maron), a washed-up, B-movie director who now must lead this group of women on the journey to wrestling stardom.

Watch Perseid Meteor shower over Qatar skies this weekend
A normal year for the Perseids would have between 80 to 100 meteors each hour, although not all will be visible by the naked eye. The meteor shower, which looks like a fireball show, will be clearer and more attractive if viewed from dark places.

The first run of ten episodes was released via Netflix on June 23, with the streaming giant describing the show as "a Cinderella story with bodyslams". Have you watched the documentary that inspired the show?
