Chelsea To Make £35m Bid For Oxlade-Chamberlain

Chelsea have increased their offer for Arsenal winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, according to the Daily Star.

Oxlade-Chamberlain has one year left on his deal meaning he can leave for nothing at the end of the season.

Oxlade-Chamberlain has just one year remaining on his current contract and his future at the Emirates is in serious doubt as he's yet to find an agreement with the Gunners over an extension.

According to the Daily Mail, the Blues have made an opening offer of £25 million for the England global, who only has a year left on his contract at the Emirates stadium.

Jurgen Klopp is in the market for another midfielder and may be viewing Oxlade-Chamberlain as an alternative target after failing to persuade RB Leipzig to sell Naby Keita.

SunSport recently revealed the Blues were eyeing a swoop for the Arsenal midfielder, who has so far refused to sign a new contract.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is also faced with the dilemma of Mohamed Elneny and Francis Coquelinwho with their performances last season are also pushing for more game time.

Antonio Conte is desperate for reinforcements, and has grown increasingly frustrated at the lack of transfer activity at the club, and sees Oxlade-Chamberlain as a player who can give Chelsea a really good option at wing-back.

With Oxlade-Chamberlain allowed to discuss terms with any club interested in him, in January, ahead of a move next summer, Arsenal may be forced into selling the England global this summer in order to avoid losing him for nothing.

Ther versatile Oxlade-Chamberlain has excelled in a wing back role of late for Arsenal and would fit in perfectly to Conte's 3-4-3 system.
