Indian soldier critically injured by Pakistani sniper fire in Kashmir

Yesterday, another jawan was injured in ceasefire violation by Pakistani troops along the Line of Control in Baramulla district's Uri sector.

A soldier was wounded in a ceasefire violation in Silikoot area of Uri sector in north Kashmir on Monday evening, Army sait that the solider has been moved to hospital for treatment Army said.

It said despite calls for restraint, India continues to indulge in ceasefire violations.

According to the Foreign Office, Indian forces have violated the ceasefire along the LoC and working boundary 600 times in 2017 alone - martyring at least 25 innocents and injuring up to 110.

The Indian military blamed the Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad group for the attack and also pointed fingers at Pakistan.
