Vince Wilfork announces retirement, farewell tailgate party at Gillette in hilarious video

Vince Wilfork announces retirement, farewell tailgate party at Gillette in hilarious video

He was drafted by the Patriots in 2004 out of Miami with the No. 21 pick, and while in New England he won two Super Bowls.

Perennial Pro Bowl nose tackle Vince Wilfork did not have to be dragged over hot coals to make him walk away from the game.

The humorous finish was Wilfork through and through, but the clearly sponsored tweet undersells his impact on the field.

But again, the legend of Big Vince Wilfork isn't confined exclusively to the field.

"Well y'all - it's been a great run, but the time has come", Wilfork tweeted.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Specs Finally Revealed In Major Leak
Among the most cutting-edge features, the Note 8 will be a premium Galaxy smartphone , with the IP68 water and dust certification. The Galaxy Note 8 will be powered by Snapdragon 835 in the United States market and Exynos 8895 in global markets.

Following the team's 2015 Super Bowl victory, Wilfork signed with the Houston Texans, for whom he played during the last two National Football League seasons.

But the announcement of his retirement was also an announcement that he has plans to return to New England- but this time he'll be tailgating.

In the video, Wilfork is seen picking up a pair of grill-sized tongs while his cleats stay hanging in his locker, before he declares, "No more cleats, I'm moving on to smoked meats, fellas". The video depicts Wilfork in a Patriots uniform, not his more recent Houston Texans attire.

"Peace out! I'm outta here!" he exclaims in the ad, which also shows him clicking his heals as he heads off into the sunset. "I'll be back, but not on that field".
