More Sun and Warmer Weather

With these storms, we could see potential heavy rainfall at times.

There is a chance of rain tonight through Sunday night in the Omaha area, with high temperatures forecast to be in the 70s through the weekend. Here in the Twin Cities we're in the lower 80s with the dew point back into the lower 70s, and still plenty of clouds out there this afternoon.

Today's National Weather Service forecast: Partly sunny, with a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 4 p.m.

Showers and storms caused some big issues for southern New England on Wednesday, including for the Red Sox, who rescheduled last night's game for August 14.

Today high temperatures will be in the low to mid 80s. Sunday will be a bit wetter.

Our rain chances ramp up again on Monday as a low pressure system makes its way throughout our region.

Tuesday will be mostly cloudy with a couple showers and storms possible.

Thursday night: A 70 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, low around 56. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 68. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 74. Partly sunny, with a high near 91.

Saturday - Mostly sunny, with a high near 74. High temperatures both days this weekend are expected to top out around 80 degrees. Rain chances are 60%.

Sunday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 58.
