Teenager jumps out of plane's emergency exit as it lands

The young man opened the emergency door and jumped out of a plane that has just landed at the airport in San Francisco awaiting permission to move to the terminal, representatives of the airlines.

Copa Airlines said in a statement that emergency exits over wings are meant to be opened by passengers at lower altitudes to allow evacuations in emergencies.

A crew member shut the door and the plane safely taxied to the gate, the airline said.
