RB Leipzig Coach Quashes Naby Keita Rumours

But Leipzig have sternly refused to cash in on the midfielder in advance, with head coach Ralph Hasenhuttl confirming Keita will stay.

Liverpool looked ready to break the bank to secure his signature after seeking record offers of £57m and £66m rejected.

The Guinea global has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool after an impressive season with Leipzig, scoring eight goals and contributing seven assists in 31 Bundesliga appearances as the German side finished second behind Bayern Munich.

Liverpool have chose to cool their interest in RP Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita this summer but will return to sign him in 12 months, according to a report. "Because next year we play in the Champions League for the first year and it's a new situation for every one of us", he said.

When asked about another potential bid for Keita, Klopp responded: "Then we'll make a €300m offer for Keita!"

But the Indian bowlers didn't allow the game to be stretched till the 5th day and wrapped up the inning on July 29th itself. Cheteshwar Pujara , who also made a century in the first innings, was caught by Kusal Mendis for 15 with the total on 56.

The chance [of him leaving] is "null". It's 100 per cent clear that Naby will play this year in Leipzig.

Liverpool will reportedly reignite their interest in Keita next summer as he has a release clause in his contract that can be triggered at the end of next season.

Keita and Southampton defender Virgil van Dijk are the two players linked strongly with a move to Anfield before the transfer window shuts. We have very young players and I think for them it is very important to play the first year in the Champions League as a team.

The 22-year-old Keita impressed last season as his performances helped Leipzig finish second in the Bundesliga and qualify for the Champions League. "I think he is more focused than a year ago".

And Keita's emergence of one of the most sought after players in European football comes as no surprise to his manager, who is looking forward to another "fantastic" season with the midfielder in his ranks.
