Disney releases first trailer for 'A Wrinkle In Time'

As Meg sets off on her adventures which includes a stop in a disturbing dystopian suburban cul-de-sac overseen by Scandal's Bellamy Young, Winfrey cautions: "You're going to be tested every step of the way".

There's a long slate of Disney movies coming our way, and one of them is an adaptation of Madeline L'Engle's 1963 novel, A Wrinkle In Time.

"I saw so many different kinds of people and personalities in it". I can't wait to see all these worlds through DuVernay's eye. Whatever its box office, whatever its reception, it's already made history behind-the-scenes. DuVernay was offered a number of big budget films in the wake of her success on the tremendous Selma (including Marvel's Black Panther), but she settled on this beloved novel as her big-budget debut. This is an important step toward equitable hiring in Hollywood, and it'll be an important part of the film's legacy.

A Wrinkle in Time arrives in cinemas on March 9th, 2018. Which, while Reese Witherspoon is Mrs. Whatsit and Mindy Kaling is Mrs. Who.
