FBI, ATF investigating bomb at Bixby, Okla., Air Force office

Bomb squads from Bixby and Tulsa police responded around 10:30 p.m. local time Monday to the reported explosion, near Tulsa, Bixby Police Sgt. Tim Scrivner told CNN. The front doors are visibly damaged and no injuries have been reported.

The FBI and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives has been investigating the incident.

The FBI said earlier Tuesday the explosion is not now being considered an act of terrorism.

The amount of damage has yet to be confirmed, but Federal Bureau of Investigation agent Jessi Race has said no-one was injured and the facility was closed at the time of the blast.

The U.S. Attorney's Office has filed charges against Roden that include malicious damage to federal property by use of explosives, destruction of federal property, use of explosive to commit a federal felony and destruction of federal property.

Security cameras at a nearby restaurant in the same plaza as the recruitment center reportedly captured surveillance footage of the explosion.

The incident occurred at the recruitment center near Bixby's 104th Street and Memorial Drive. A vehicle's tires were slashed and some windows broken at that office.

The event took place Monday night in Bixby, just south of Tulsa.

"It's a little bit comforting that they didn't want to kill anybody", FBI Special Agent Jessi Rice said at a press conference. "Obviously, they would have done it in broad daylight if that were the case, so, from that standpoint, it's a positive", Rice said.

"It's a two-pronged investigation", she said.
