Arsenal have an offer worth reportedly £275k-a-week on the table for Alexis Sanchez and are also keen for Oxlade-Chamberlain to stay, although the England ace is waiting to see what his first-team opportunities will be like after a hard few years in North London.

City have already moved quickly to complete summer business early on, adding AS Monaco's Bernardo Silva and Benfica goalkeeper Ederson to their ranks, with Sanchez speculated to be seeking a big wage jump in north London.

It's said that Sanchez has not been able to resist the lure of working with Guardiola for a second time.

Another issue with the Gunners is their lack of Champions League football, and the recent club-record signing of Lyon hitman Alexandre Lacazette has been unable to sway Sanchez's mind.
