Leicester to sign Sevilla midfielder Vicente Iborra after agreeing deal for £12million

Sevilla have reached an agreement to sell their captain Vicente Iborra to Leicester City, pending a medical, according to the Spanish club.

The 29-year-old featured against the Foxes in their Champions League round of 16 ties and impressed the club's recruitment, with Leicester of the opinion that the former Levante man would be a ideal fit for the Premier League due to both his powerful style of play in a number of positions and his imposing 6ft 3 frame.

Foxes' boss Craig Shakespeare is eager to bring in the Spaniard following the midfielder's impressive performances against Leicester in the Champions League round of 16 last season, as reported by SkySports.

Vicente Iborra attempted 916 passes in La Liga last season.

"Iborra has shown exemplary behaviour in his time at the club and has won the unanimous respect and love of all Sevilla fans", said a Sevilla statement.

McConnell said he is well aware of the health care challenges facing Americans. There's just no way that repealing and replacing Obamacare can be bipartisan.

Iborra, 29, moved to Sevilla from Levante in 2013 and helped them win three successive Europa League titles. "Once the operation concludes, he will return to Seville to publicly bid farewell to the fans".

He is also no stranger to the King Power Stadium after Sevilla visited Leicester in the Champions League as the Foxes over turned a two-goal deficit in the second leg, with Craig Shakespeare's side winning 2-0 thanks to goals from Wes Morgan and Marc Albrighton.

The statement read: "Sevilla and Leicester City have reached an agreement in principle for the transfer of Vicente Iborra".

While Iborra could arrive in England this week Riyad Mahrez is expected to leave the club.
