TV hosts strike back at US President Donald Trump's 'face-lift' tweets

"I think it's been fascinating and frightening and really sad for our country", Brzezinski said on today's edition of the MSNBC CMCSA, +0.54% morning show.

"The president's unhealthy obsession with our show has been in the public record for months, and we are seldom surprised by his posting nasty tweets about us", they wrote.

Since Trump assumed office, many USA media outlets, including CNN, have accused the U.S. president's team of having ties to the Kremlin.

They also said they had seen a change in the president over the last few years.

"The New York Post reported that the president asked #White House staff for some feedback on his Thursday morning tweets against "#Morning Joe" hosts Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough.

President Donald Trump has admitted his tweets are out of the boundaries of decency. Asked by an interviewer in 2016, which of Trump's habits she would like him to give up, Melania Trump had said, "The tweeting".

The feud between President Trump and MSNBC cohosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski heated up this morning. Scarborough told RedState he made NBC executives aware of the phone calls "in real time".

"What we're trying to do around here is improve the tone, the civility of the debate". Trump subsequently promoted the bogus story about his then-primary opponent during a Fox News appearance where he said, "I mean, what was he doing - what was he doing with Lee Harvey Oswald shortly before the death?"

Trump's use of social media - specially Twitter - was found problematic by his aides during his presidential campaign, which he had tended to send off incendiary posts and off-the-script remarks at election rallies.

On Wednesday, she had mocked Trump after a story in The Washington Post said he had posted fake Time magazine covers of himself in some of his golf resorts.

"President Trump launched personal attacks against us Thursday, but our concerns about his unmoored behaviour go far beyond the personal". "This presidency is fake and failed", Brzezinski said on March 6, for example. "I think that they're forming their own opinions".

The social media sniping with the Morning Joe anchors sparked bipartisan criticism, and Brzezinski fired back by posting a picture of a cereal ad about "little hands".
