Bakersfield ranked top 10 for worst drivers in the US

Debatable new research from an auto insurance quote website suggests that Detroit has the best drivers in the country. The final rankings were decided by adding weighted means calculated by each city's number of accidents, speeding tickets, DUIs and traffic citations.

After QuoteWizard compared the best and worst drivers by state, we wanted to know more about how drivers in America's 75 most populous city metro areas stack up against each other.

Sacramento, Riverside, San Diego, Los Angeles, and Bakersfield all rank in the top ten.

The Motor City is home to many distinctions, including having the most expensive vehicle insurance rates in the country.

The Hoffman Estates, Ill . -based retailer is also looking into potential deals for its Kenmore appliances and DieHard auto parts. The majority of these positions are related to the corporate workforce at its headquarters in Hoffman Estates .

The study found Sacramento, California, has the worst drivers. "Of course, you may need to take out a second mortgage to afford vehicle insurance, but that's a whole other story". They're also close to the top for accidents and DUI's, at fourth. With 1 being the worst drivers, MI ranked 47, beat only by Mississippi, Florida and Rhode Island.
