Ronaldo summoned to court, Mourinho accused of tax fraud

Cristiano Ronaldo's woes deepened yesterday when the star striker who reportedly wants to quit Real Madrid was summoned to appear before a judge investigating tax fraud.

Prosecutors accuse the Portugal global of evading tax via a shell company based in the British Virgin Islands and another in Ireland, known for its low corporate tax rate.

He also claimed he has not spoken with the player, who is representing Portugal at the Confederations Cup in Russian Federation.

Ronaldo has been linked with a return to Manchester United having been "outraged" by what he feels is unfair treatment by Spanish tax authorities, making him determined to leave the country.

Cristiano Ronaldo will be staying at Spanish giants Real Madrid and no offer has been received to tempt him away, club president Florentino Perez insisted Tuesday.

"I have not talked to him or his father".

A Spanish state prosecutor has accused former Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho of tax fraud worth 3.3 million euros ($3.7 million) in unpaid taxes, it was reported on Tuesday, June 20, 2017.

Would you fancy a bendable Lenovo laptop?
At first, it may not sound something revolutionary, given that smartphone manufacturers have shown off working prototypes earlier. No, not bendable as in "with a hinge,"but like a piece of paper, except made of plastic and with a color display".

"But will he leave Real Madrid?".

According to an article published by UK's The Sun, Mourinho fell out with Ronaldo while he was the Real boiss, as he believed he was one of the high-profile players who had turned against him. Taking in consideration this situation, there are many clubs that could be interested in signing Cristiano Ronaldo, although few of them have the economic power to afford paying the transfer fee and the salary.

'I have complete confidence that he is innocent, he has always wanted to fulfil his fiscal commitments, ' Perez said.

Following the tax allegations, Cristiano Ronaldo put out a lengthy and strongly worded statement defending himself.

Real Madrid and Manchester United are not directly involved.

The Spanish media have claimed the Real Madrid star must be in the courtroom in Pozuelo at 11am local time for the beginning of the case.
