Confirmed: Premier League rival makes whopping Lacazette offer

Lacazette appeared poised to join Atletico Madrid just last month but a transfer ban handed down to the Spanish side means they are unable to register any new players until January, scuppering the proposed move.

And Lacazette and Kylian Mappe have been the two players most linked with a move to the Emirates.

Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has confirmed the club are planning to reject Arsenal's bid for striker Alexandre Lacazette.

Aulas was quoted in the French press on Friday afternoon as saying: "Alexandre Lacazette was told he could leave".

'Things did not work out. "But for us he will not leave", he said, reported in the Metro.
