Trump expresses more frustration over Russia investigation

President Donald Trump groused Thursday that no one is investigating Democrats' "dealings with Russia" while there are multiple investigations into what he phrased as his "non-dealings" with Moscow.

The Washington Post reported Wednesday evening that special counsel Robert Mueller, who is leading the investigation into the role Russian Federation played in the 2016 election, is also investigating Trump for attempted obstruction of justice.

"The investigation is the biggest scandal since Watergate and it's everbody's hope that justice at last can be delivered", Trump said back in October. Trump said in a follow-up message.

"Why is that Hillary Clintons family and Dems dealings with Russian Federation are not looked at, but my non-dealings are?" the President tweeted in the afternoon, as he said the Clintons deserved an obstruction of justice probe.

Mueller, also a former Federal Bureau of Investigation director, was named special counsel shortly after Comey's dismissal.

Trump's questions are best directed at his Department of Justice, who have the power to investigate Clinton.

Trump added: "You are witnessing the single greatest WITCH HUNT in American political history - led by some very bad and conflicted people!"

Ditching derogatory rhetoric about the Washington "swamp", Trump rallied in support of his fellow politicians and called on the country to pull together.

"The FBI leak of information regarding the President is outrageous, inexcusable and illegal", Kasowitz said via a spokesman.

Several top intelligence officials have agreed to be interviewed by Mueller's team, according to reports in both The Washington Post and New York Times.

Trump's accusation that Clinton had her husband meet with the attorney general "days before she was cleared", refers to a June 27, 2016, meeting between Bill Clinton and then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch aboard a private plane while Hillary Clinton was still under federal investigation.

Five people spoke to the Post on the condition of anonymity, because "they were not authorized to discuss the matter publicly".
