London Bridge, Borough Market incidents declared terrorist attacks


London Metropolitan Police have declared that incidents at London Bridge and Borough Market are terrorism.

They are also at an incident in the Vauxhall area. Two other incidents also are being reported. Officers have then responded to reports of stabbings in #BoroughMarket.

The Prime Minister is leading a Cobra emergency meeting later. "I want to express my huge gratitude to the police and emergency services who are on the scene".

NBC News producer Mo Abbas was at a restaurant near the south entrance to London Bridge, when the incident happened.

White House press secretary Sean Spicer said Trump had been briefed on the situation by his national security team.

London Bridge was closed in both directions, British Transport Police said. There would have been a lot of people on London Bridge.

"From 2208 hrs (local time) officers responded to reports of a vehicle in collision with pedestrians on #London Bridge".

Witnesses reported a vehicle hitting pedestrians and injured people on the ground.

BBC reporter Holly Jones was at the bridge when the van came through and reported the van veered off the road and into crowds of people.

Police are treating injured people and carrying them away at the end Thrale Street. Police are urging the public to remain calm, be alert and stay vigilant.

She said she saw cops arresting someone.

Armed officers flooded the busy area of the city after a van struck multiple people on the bridge.
