Star Wars Day Is Today! May The Fourth Be With You

Since the release of the first Star Wars movie almost 40 years ago, the Star Wars saga has had a seismic impact on both cinema and culture, inspiring audiences around the world with its mythic storytelling, captivating characters, groundbreaking special effects, and iconic musical scores composed by Williams.

It's not a national holiday, yet it might be an intergalactic one.

Star Wars Day celebration 2017 has been very special for everybody related to the galaxy far, far away, as it did not just involve franchise fans and family members. These fans will be happy to know that on Wednesday the ninth Star Wars movie-release date was announced for May 24, 2019.

Like many Star Wars characters, "May the Fourth" comes with an interesting origin story.

Government officials from various parts of the world, including Australia, Russia, Canada and the United Kingdom, also shared messages under the tagline May the Fourth be with you. A tense argument between the pair is then thought to take place, setting up a major conflict early on in the film.

Retailers are trying to turn fan enthusiasm into a profit. It is a day to celebrate all things Star Wars.

The Taiwan "May the 4th Be With You" event was once again organized by local lightsaber maker and renowned die-hard Star Wars fan Makoto Tsai, with participation from the 501st Taiwan - Formosa Outpost, the Taiwan division of an global stormtroopers cosplay organization, as well as the South Taiwan Jedi Order (南部光劍武士團), a Star Wars fan group from southern Taiwan. It was a play on words for the infamous line, "May the Force be with You".

Mark was right in connecting Star Wars to the former British Prime Minister.
