Kolkata Knight Riders make it to the finals

SunRisers Hyderabad faced Kolkata Knight Riders in the first knockout match in this season's IPL and it was definitely worth waiting late in the night for the match to begin after a long rain interruption.

Much against Sunrisers wish, the rain subsided and the target was revised to 48 off six overs after persistent drizzle soon after Sunrisers' innings stopped the proceedings for more than three hours.

Kolkata Knight Riders captain Gautam Gambhir today credited his bowling unit for setting up the game for his side in the IPL Eliminator against defending champions Sunrisers Hyderabad, here.

KKR will face Mumbai Indians in the second qualifier of the playoff on Thursday. It was quite a tough wicket to bat on.

But just when the partnership between Warner and Williamson was looking unsafe, twin blows in consecutive overs rattled Sunrisers' innings.

Warner chose him to bowl a second over and he once again troubled the experienced player of spin. "I thought around 130 was par score there, and if we had a 20-over game, we would have had a good chance because the wicket was up and down and spinning", said Muralitharan after Sunrisers Hyderabad crashed out of the Indian Premier League. But the bowlers restricting the Sunrisers batting to 128 was brilliant. Both teams won eight matches, but SRH finished with one additional point courtesy their washed-out match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

Trump's First Foreign Trip to Promote Peace in Muslim World
Riyadh has made "strategic mistakes" in the region and should make up for them, he underlined. "There is a clear mutual interest". Trump's visit to Saudi Arabia is the first stop on his maiden worldwide trip since taking office in January.

The momentum would just not come for SRH, despite the experienced Kane Williamson joining Warner, who scored a tremendous century the last time he played against KKR, in the middle. Dhawan skied a Umesh Yadav delivery for Robin Uthappa to pouch in the fifth over and Hyderabad could muster only 30/1 in the Powerplay.

Nathan Coulter-Nile took out Shankar with the first ball of the 18th over before making a spectacular diving catch to claim the wicket of Chris Jordan.

Captain David Warner says Sunrisers struggled to get momentum in their innings and were probably around 30 runs short.

The player of big game Yuvraj Singh has so far not been in his best touch yet he can click any time and turn the tables.

The victor of the second qualifer will play Rising Pune Supergiants on in the final of the tenth edition of IPL.

Mumbai's batting has been remarkable this season with openers Lendl Simmons and Parthiv Patel giving them good starts and skipper Rohit Sharma, Ambati Rayadu and Kieron Pollard firing in unison. "We will make sure if we can build the same team next year, comeback and fight for the trophy", he said.
