'Last Man Standing' cancellation angers conservatives

'Last Man Standing' cancellation angers conservatives

Actor Tim Allen said Tuesday that he is "stunned and blindsided" by ABC's decision to cancel his highly successful show, "Last Man Standing".

Tim Allen did not comment on the reasons for cancellation, but he told Twitter followers that he was shocked to see his family show was axed.

Viewers quickly began to speculate that Allen's show was cancelled due to his conservative views.

Last week, ABC opted to dump the blue-collar comedy Last Man Standing after six seasons, and now fans of the show are calling for a boycott of ABC. Why? "It was challenging because it was a steady performer but when we made the decision not to continue with comedies on Friday, that's where it landed". We have to make the tough calls and cancel shows that we otherwise would love to stay on the air.

"Last Man Standing" has been hailed by some viewers for its positive portrayal of conservatives, while off-screen Allen has voiced his support for President Trump.

But on the other hand, there are clubs like "Phoenix" or "San Antonio", which only once in the "regular" played overtime. Bookmaker offices, as a rule, estimate the probability of a draw with coefficients from 10.00 to 15.00.

From a financial point of view, ABC did not own Last Man Standing and had been reducing licensing fees on many of its aging shows - including Sony's The Goldbergs, ABC Studios' Once Upon a Time and 20th TV's Modern Family - in a bid to reduce costs amid dwindling viewership and ad dollars.

The objective of the petition, created by an unnamed individual from California, is to renew the show. "And sadly, that is likely the real reason the show has been cancelled". Yet, in between the finances of the show and ABC not having ownership of it in the way they do other comedies, there are some reasons why they may have opted to move forward without even looking at political beliefs. The show had performed steadily during its run, but ratings dropped over the last season.

"Your decision to cancel ("Last Man Standing") was politically motivated!"

ABC will be officially releasing its 2017 fall schedule later Tuesday morning, so it still remains to be seem whether or not fan voices will be heard.

In March, the former "Home Improvement" star said being conservative in Hollywood is like living in Germany in the 1930s. He emphasized on air that "you gotta be real careful around here" because "you'll get beat up if you don't believe what everybody believes".
