What We Know About the FBI Raid on a Republican Consultancy Firm

Lindsay Ram, a spokeswoman for the Federal Bureau of Investigation field office in Washington, confirmed that agents were "conducting law enforcement activity in Annapolis, off Main Street".

When news broke Thursday that the FBI had just raided a Republican consulting firm in Annapolis, Maryland, people across Twitter immediately leapt to one conclusion - the Russian Federation investigation.

Strategic Campaign Group offers political organizational fundraising, virtual telephone town halls, direct mail marketing, advertising, polling, voter contact telephone programs, and political campaign consulting, according to its website. Jayne Miller of WBAL-TV first began to tweet about the execution of a search warrant on a GOP fundraising/consulting office, and what followed was plenty of speculation.

No word yet on whether there is a link between Strategic Campaign Group & former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort. Instead, Rogers told the local Capital Gazette, the raid concerned work the company did on a failed 2013 campaign for Virginia governor, which the candidate, Republican former Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli, had once sued the company over.

'Scandal' may end with season seven
Creatively, Scandal helped usher in a new era of diversity on the small screen when Rhimes cast Washington as fixer Olivia Pope . How To Get Away With Murder, also a part of Shondaland, has been renewed and will return in the 2017-18 season.

Cuccinelli said the defendants raised $2.2 million from donors while pretending to be campaigning for him.

"This came as an absolute shock to us, but we have not renegotiated a contract this year because no one has really gotten around to it, and so with this, we're just going to separate our relationship for now", Jennings said. The PAC only gave $10,000 of that money to Cuccinelli's campaign, the AP reported. The suit, which also named the company's Conservative StrikeForce PAC, was settled in 2015, court records show. "I think we did that successfully", Cuccinelli's statement said.

The website says it has "helped Republican candidates run for office at every level".
