'Scandal' may end with season seven

"Although ABC isn't commenting, multiple sources confirm to TVLine exclusively that Scandal's upcoming seventh seventh will be its last". The announcement will likely be made in conjunction with the network's May 16 upfront presentation. I am too. Which is why Scandal's so fun and we'll be sad to see it go.

Rhimes has previously said that, unlike the long-running Grey's Anatomy, Scandal's heavily serialized, high-stakes narrative necessitated a short-ish shelf life. We have not really talked about what happens after that. "I've already decided how long that is and what that's going to be", she said at the time.

Rhimes has another drama, Still Star-Crossed, which is set to debut later this month on ABC.

The drama series is now in its sixth season and the cast recently joined show creator Shonda Rhimes to celebrate the program's 100th episode. Then the show became focused on the admittedly steamy romance between Smith stand-in Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) and the married POTUS Fitzgerald Grant (Tony Goldwyn). On Wednesday, TVLine reported that Season 7 of Scandal will be the last season.

Hawks' Dwight Howard pulled over for speeding the morning of playoff loss
Obviously this is not great, as speeding - especially at 95 miles per hour - is pretty risky , but thankfully no one was hurt. Howard was also reportedly driving with a suspended registration, although he only received warnings for that and speeding.

In any case, Rhimes' prolific nature as a producer means there could still be a Scandal replacement on Thursdays we don't even know about yet.

Creatively, Scandal helped usher in a new era of diversity on the small screen when Rhimes cast Washington as fixer Olivia Pope. How To Get Away With Murder, also a part of Shondaland, has been renewed and will return in the 2017-18 season.

There are three episodes remaining in Scandal's current sixth season. "Unfortunately it suffered from the same olympic-level shark jumping that most Shonda Rhimes shows do.at least she's ending this one".

Interestingly, a number of fans believe Scandal should have ended with Season 6 as they believe the show hasn't been at its creative best this season.
