Waze Now Lets You Record Your Own Navigation Commands

Waze Now Lets You Record Your Own Navigation Commands

Crowdsourced navigation application Waze has introduced an interesting new feature, which will allow users to use their own voices for voice prompts. If you want to do this, be sure to set aside a brick of time - there are more than three dozen words and phrases you'll be prompted to record for the navigation set to be complete. Download the latest version of Waze from the Play Store and let us know how it works out! So sorry, no baby talk recording for you.

Those who are friends with Morgan Freeman will have the best possible voice that one can use in Waze, but any talented actor or singer will do if you can convince him or her to record them on your phone. You could grab a friend's phone and record your bad impersonation of Julia Child on their Waze app. You'll lose details such as street names, but you'll gain the satisfaction of hearing your navigation app say "turn left here, ". Just record all 39 phrases in Waze and you're good to go. You could record your significant other's voice, or your kids, or perhaps even your parents.

Alabama women's golf team trails by 5 shots in NCAA regional
Cara Barker had two of Tech's three birdies during that stretch, both of which came over the two par-5s that closed the round. Freshman Sarah Shipley, playing in her first career NCAA Regional, had the second-best round of the day for the Wildcats.

Granted, many people don't like the way how they sound when they hear their voice recorded. You'll add your clips to the app's library so you can make your Waze experience completely unique.

Using custom voices isn't a first for navigation applications.
