'Bachelor' star Chris Soules jailed after deadly Iowa crash

According to the Buchanan County Sheriff's Office, Soules, 35, is still in custody and has been charged with leaving the scene of a fatal vehicle accident that left one individual dead.

"The Bachelor" star Chris Soules has been accused of leaving the scene of a deadly crash, according officials at the Buchanan County Jail. Soules abandoned his truck in the ditch and left the scene on foot, the report said. The driver of the tractor, 66-year-old Kenneth Mosher, was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead.

The crash occurred about 15 miles away from the reality star's farm in Arlington, Iowa.

Soules, 35, was officially charged on Tuesday with leaving the scene of a fatal accident. An updated report reveals that alcoholic beverage containers were in his possession at the time of the crash.

According to court records, Soules was convicted of operating a vehicle while intoxicated in 2006. Soules is under supervision and is not allowed to leave the state without written consent from the court.

The truck then rear ended the tractor, forcing the tractor to roll over into the east ditch, killing Mosher. A judge has set an amount of 10,000 dollars cash only for Soules.

Soules said in the statement that his "thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Mosher's family".

Investigators are looking into what Soules was doing before the accident.
