Ryan Braun doubled and homered for the Brewers.

Will the Brewers pull off a small upset today in their home opener when they host the Rockies at 2:10PM ET?

Even though Milwaukee has hung around in the first two games of the series, the fact of the matter is that Colorado still won the game regardless of how close it was.

"Certainly going to be more than the 10 days, and it's a big blow", Brewers Manager Craig Counsell told WTMJ's Wisconsin's Morning News on Tuesday. The second-year starter allowed three runs on five hits and a walk over the game's first five innings before running into trouble in the sixth.

Reynolds reached four times for the Rockies, who erased a one-run deficit by capitalizing on two late errors by the Brewers and got four scoreless innings from their bullpen.

Rain, snowmelt could cause flooding in New England
A wind advisory is in effect until 4pm for most of northeast Kansas with north winds gusting up to 45 miles per hour . Ground conditions are quite wet across much of the area so heavy rain could lead to flooding of low lying areas.

Mark Reynolds, back for a second season in Denver, was the player of the game. If lefty Tommy Milone, a former starter who had moved to the bullpen, joins the rotation in the interim, it would mean another reliever would be summoned from the minors. With the base loaded, Charlie Blackmon grounded sharply to shortstop Orlando Arcia for what looked like an inning-ending double play.

A franchise first. Speaking of Wolters, in the fifth inning, he became the first player in Rockies history to be issued a free trip to first base using the MLB's newly adopted no-pitch intentional walk. Aguilar pinch hit in the fifth and his single to left on the first pitch helped the Brewers rally for five runs.

Colorado is 11-3 in Chatwood's last 14 road starts and 3-7 in their last 10 against the NL Central while the over is 8-3 in their last 11 road games. It was a decent beginning, as he allowed two runs on one hit in his three innings, with a hit batter. He put the Rockies ahead 2-0 in the second with a homer off Milwaukee starter Junior Guerra, the second opening-day homer of Reynolds' career. Milwaukee RHP Matt Garza, on the DL with a right groin injury, threw off a mound before batting practice and could start a rehab stint at Triple-A early next week.

Well, that's what happened on Opening Day for the Blake Street Bombers, who topped the Milwaukee Brewers at Miller Park 7-5. He went into a downward spiral during the second half past year that had him platooning with former Brewer Aaron Hill until the season ended. Peralta had a 0.71 ERA in three appearances in spring training without recording a decision. Davies went 11-7 with a 3.98 ERA in 28 starts past year, his first full season in the majors.
