Federer to play 23rd final with Nadal at Miami Open

The 37th meeting between arch-rivals Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal will decide who wins the Miami Open title tomorrow, but it will take some doing to conjure up more drama than the former's semi-final victory over Nick Kyrgios last night.

The Swiss triumphed 7-6 6-7 7-6 to take his 2017 record to 18 wins and one defeat.

Nadal, who has never who won the Miami title, will face the victor of yesterday's second semi-final between twice champion Federer, the fourth seed, and the 12th-seeded Australian Nick Kyrgios. "You don't very often play three breakers in a match". He had reached the semifinals of Dubai Championships and Delray Beach Open.

Federer says the memory of what he calls "that epic match" remains vivid and was a crucial chapter in his development as a player.

"I was missing a lot of balls", Fognini said.

Fans watched in awe at Crandon Park as two-time victor Federer overcame Kyrgios 7-6 (11-9) 6-7 (9-11) 7-6 (7-5) in Friday's thrilling contest.

Roger Federer's victory over Nick Kyrgios on Friday was enthralling and a fiercely intense semifinal that kept a capacity crowd at Key Biscayne on the edge of their seats. I can't always show my fighting skills, it is great winning this way. In the second, it was not about losing concentration, it's about not being lucky at the beginning of the second set.

Google turns its maps into "Ms. Pac-Man"
Google is celebrating April fool's day by letting users play Pac-Man game on Google Map app , Business Insider reported. At that point, they'll turn blue, turn tail, and run, letting you chase them down and chomp them for some easy points.

"I had some ups and downs, bit of a rollercoaster", the Australian said.

The two all-time greats squared off in the final of this prestigious event back in 2005-their second-ever meeting overall-and Federer won in five sets. "I think I didn't face a break point during the whole match, so that is something that I am very happy with. I thought the crowd would have enjoyed watching it and people at home would have enjoyed watching it".

Nadal has relatively had an easier passage to the title match and the only time he looked unsettled in his campaign was when he was thrashed 6-0 in the first set against Philipp Kohlschreiber in the third round.

"It just helps to add something important for me and that's it", Nadal said.

It is the first time Miami will have a final between two players over 30 but no-one is expecting anything but the highest quality intense competition, especially with Federer enjoying such a rich run of form.

Potentially hitting deeply-angled shots on both sides of the court, forcing Federer to move corner-to-corner and then drawing him out forward to the net, and then finishing off the points with passing shots will help Nadal accentuate the potency of his game.
