UNC, Arkansas familiar foes in NCAA second round

The scoreboard operator might be busy on Sunday when the Tar Heels and Razorbacks clash in the Round of 32. "In this case, it happened because the committee won't move teams off their seed line just to send them to a certain city". "Just like now, no one's giving us a chance". We thew a mighty big blow with a big rock. Their offensive rebound rate is 42.2 percent; they're giving themselves second chances on almost half their misses, and that puts enormous strain on defenses. I'm hopeful that he will play. Unfortunately for the Tar Heels, Joel Berry turned his ankle, leaving his status for Sunday up in the air at best. We want to play at that pace ourselves. Trevor Craport extended his on-base streak to 17 straight games, as the junior was 1-for-4 with an RBI, while Ryan Peurifoy, who made a leaping catch at the wall in center field in the ninth inning, went 1-for-2 with a double, two walks and a run scored.

Williams said Berry was held out of Saturday's practice and is questionable to play today.

"We can't always just outscore teams and that's what we want to focus on tomorrow and the rest of the tournament, is being able to take teams on with (defense)", Britt said.

Point spread: The Tar Heels opened as eight-point favorites; the total is at 160.5, according to sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark. "I like getting up and down the court". That explains why, during the Arkansas-Seton Hall game, North Carolina assistant coaches Steve Robinson and Hubert Davis did not steal away from The Well for a late lunch.

"It was an up-and-down game, I remember that", Anderson said.

The Razorbacks start three 6-3 guards, Jaylen Barford, Dusty Hannahs and Manny Watkins and usually still play with three guards while bringing Daryl Macon, 6-3, and Anton Beard, 6-0, off the bench. "They'll throw a couple wrinkles that we haven't seen that we have to be ready for in the game, but scouting helps out a lot".

Therein lies the problem for the Razorbacks, who for all of that pressure, rank No. 94 nationally in defensive efficiency, largely because of an inability to force turnovers and rebound. Been through it. Some of those guys were playing at that time.

UNCW's Kevin Keatts reportedly meeting with NC State about head coaching vacancy
They narrowly lost to Duke in the first round past year , and fell 76-71 against Virginia on Thursday as a No. 12 seed. The 44-year-old Keatts will now have to battle against the likes of Duke and North Carolina on a consistent basis.

"Michael coming back and replacing Nolan - not replacing him - but that's what everybody thought", Williams said. "I think he's taken that mindset and run with it".

Williams said he admires Anderson's steady approach to rebuilding Arkansas' program. "The way that he worked with Nolan when Nolan was the head coach".

"I think it's fun", Arkansas senior guard Manuale Watkins said.

Heading into Friday, no No. 16 seed had ever upset a No. 1 seed.

"When you're at a mid-major like UT Chattanooga, you're usually going to be a high seed in that situation and have a tough matchup, usually on the road", Moore said.

"It's good having the guy steering the ship that's been there and done that before".
