Wawrinka through to Indian Wells final

Federer advanced to the semi-finals where he will take on American 17th seed Jack Sock on Saturday.

"I'm playing great tennis and I didn't expect it because I'm still on the comeback", said Federer, who won his record 18th Grand Slam title at the Australian Open in January after being sidelined by various injuries for much of 2016. And he was attacking really well, first and third sets. A free spirit, with tennis to match, he has power, flair, showmanship and boldness-though his abandon has often brought errors, frustration and worse, including a brief ban previous year for "poor effort".

Sock will need to keep up his strength for his semifinal against four-time Indian Wells champion Roger Federer.

Kyrgios says he believes he has food poisoning.

CBI Ordered To Probe Narada Sting, Court Says Cops Acted Like 'Puppets'
The court also observed that the CBI was the most suitable agency to conduct an independent probe. CM Banerjee has also alleged that the entire footage of the sting operation was doctored.

"I was really looking forward to playing the match", Federer told fans waiting for the match on stadium court.

Jack Sock defeated Kei Nishikori 6-3, 2-6, 6-2 for the biggest singles victory of his career in the BNP Paribas Open quarterfinals on Friday.

One break of Carreno Busta's serve was enough to give him the first set, and Wawrinka earned a hard-won break for a 2-1 lead in the second with a blistering forehand on his fifth break point of the game that Carreno Busta had no hope of getting back.

"I've given everybody their money's worth, a three-setter every match so far", the 24-year-old Sock said in an on-court interview. I think that's changed, for sure.

"I didn't play my best tennis today, but I think he played good tennis also".
