Love's return has healthier Cavaliers trending up

Love's return has healthier Cavaliers trending up

The Cavs defended well for most of the game, and were ultimately rewarded for it. Rudy Gobert was a monster, with 20 points and 19 rebounds, but no other Jazz starter shot 50% from the field.

It also marked the first time in National Basketball Association history that three players - James, Russell Westbrook and James Harden - had recorded double-digit triple-doubles in a season, also per Elias.

In the game versus the Jazz, Sanders failed to get playing time.

David Griffin told reporters earlier this week that he hoped Love would return next week.

There was some good news for the Cavaliers, though, as before the game it was announced that Kevin Love would return to the team and would be starting in this game. Irving experienced left knee tightness, which kept him on the bench in the fourth quarter. The Cavaliers were able to come away with a big win against perhaps the most underrated team in the league.

Love will start at home against the Jazz, his first game since injuring his knee February 11. His presence will be key for a Cavaliers team that has struggled in March, 3-5 before the Jazz game.

The time that Cavaliers coach Tyronn Lue has long awaited, and with it the decisions that he's been agonizing over, are almost upon him.

Federal Bureau of Investigation arrests man for allegedly sending seizure-causing Tweet to Dallas journalist
On Friday, Eichenwald said that more than 40 people sent him strobes once they found out that they could trigger seizures. In December, a Twitter user using the handle @jew_goldstein tweeted a strobe light.gif at Eichenwald who is an epileptic.

With 16 points, 11 rebounds and 12 assists against the Pistons, he became the first Cavalier to record at least 10 triple-doubles in a season, according to the Elias Sports Bureau.

"I knew obviously with Kev, they give him minute restrictions when he's coming back".

It's true that the Cavaliers' slump has been mostly caused by their defense, third-worst in the league since the All-Star break, but Love's return will help return a sense of normalcy to the roster.

The Cavs started pulling away midway through the fourth as James hit seven straight points to cap a 10-0 run and take an 84-77 lead with 4:58 left. He's been hovering right around 20 minutes in each game since he came back, but against the Jazz, he was able to play nearly 30 minutes.

All of the above players could use the final stretch of the season to prepare for what should be another deep playoff run. "So we would go four rounds, basically four quarters, and we'd have teams of guys together, and we would just go 500 feet, 300 feet, 200 feet, etc. on the VersaClimber". Time and time again when the Jazz would try to get back to a one-possession game, LeBron would attack the rim and keep the cushion in Cleveland's favor. On Sunday, they play the Los Angeles Lakers.

Love actually has the best net rating on the Cavaliers, further evidence of his importance to their success.
