Netflix reveals trailer, premiere date for Dave Chappelle's new comedy specials

Netflix reveals trailer, premiere date for Dave Chappelle's new comedy specials

"I've been gone for a very long time", Dave Chappelle says in the just-released trailer for his upcoming Netflix specials.

Netflix released the trailer for the specials, filmed in Austin and Los Angeles, as a part of a three-special deal with Netflix.

According to the official announcement from Netflix, the two specials - which were recorded during the last two years during his national stand-up comedy tours - will debut on Netflix on the same night, March 21. Chappelle is now on the road touring in preparation for the third special, which will film sometime this year. A Tribe Called Quest's recent protest track "We the People..." soundtracks the trailer, and we wouldn't be surprised if more music found its way into the specials in other ways.

Audi German headquarters searched in emissions probe
German prosecutors have raided Audi and VW sites as part of a probe into the manipulation of U.S. emissions tests. The prosecutors' searches are the first since the scandal at parent Volkswagen (VW) broke in September 2015.

As all of Dave Chappelle's many fans have come to expect from him, there doesn't appear to be any topic that is off limits in the new material.

"You know, I've met O.J. Simpson", Chappelle said onstage. The specials will be the first for Chappelle since 2004's For What It's Worth, and a full 17 years since his all-time classic Killin' Them Softly special in 2000.
