Samsung To Make A Foldable Smartphone In Q3 2017

Samsung's rumored Galaxy X phone is said to offer exactly that functionality, but it's been little more than a whisper on the wind since Samsung first revealed its bendy displays at CES years ago.

Samsung Electronics and Samsung Display are now working on the final step of development of foldable Smartphone in order to produce prototype in third quarter of this year. "Its strategy is to introduce a high-tech product that is one step higher than regular flagship smartphones", ETNews reported. However, after Samsung Galaxy Note 7's ill-fated demise in the market a year ago, Samsung is expected to bring forward an innovative design that can make the disaster a faded memory. Samsung Electronics and Samsung Display are allegedly close to finalizing their designs and will soon be ready to deliver a functional prototype of a smartphone with a foldable display, but it's possible that the Seoul-based tech giant won't be the first original equipment manufacturer (OEM) to uncover such a device.

Mass-production should start in 2018 after Samsung gauges demand for such a device. Android OEMs like Lenovo, Oppo or Vivo are already working with display makers like BOE, Visionox and AUO towards reaching this goal. Ever since then, we've been hearing rumors claiming foldable smartphones are just around the corner. Reports suggest that Samsung, in fact, unveiled its foldable smartphone concept before a selected audience at Mobile World Congress 2017.

Plead Guilty In Sandusky Scandal
Penn State has settled almost three dozens lawsuits over allegations of people saying they were sexually abused by Sandusky. The Pennlive report suggested it is possible Curley and Schultz could testify against Spanier at trial.

BGR noted that assuming the report is accurate and Samsung will stick to the schedule, the prototype could be unveiled at the IFA 2017.

Samsung Electronics is devoting itself into manufacturing foldable Smartphone with luxurious design and high-quality that fit image of current Samsung brand.

Samsung has already shown the foldable screen technology that has four different modes - rollable, bent, curved, and foldable. "However because it seems that South Korean companies and Chinese companies are looking to start producing prototypes around third quarter, competitions between South Korean companies and Chinese companies are going to become even more fierce".
