Ben Affleck Reveals He's Been Treated For Alcohol Addiction

"I have completed treatment for alcohol addiction", Affleck wrote in a Facebook post late Tuesday.

After it was reported that The Batman won't start shooting until 2018, Ben Affleck also clarified that his problems with Alcoholism didn't have anything to do with him quitting the project. In a lengthy 2012 cover story in The Hollywood Reporter, the Cambridge native said he'd gone to rehab in 2001.

What's more, Affleck and formerly estranged wife Jennifer Garner recently announced that they would not be pursuing a divorce. He's not the villain here, and he really doesn't need any more criticism over what was arguably the right decision to step away from The Batman and seek medical attention.

"Earlier previous year, Ben was doing great", the source said.

Garner and Affleck have been separated since announcing their plans to divorce in 2015.

"I have completed treatment for alcohol addiction; something I've dealt with in the past and will continue to confront", he wrote.

Valeant Pharmaceuticals: What Was Bill Ackman Thinking?
The hedge exited J C Penney Company Inc (NYSE:JCP) in 2013 and resigned from its board after two-year battle with the management. Valeant and Ackman are now facing a shareholder lawsuit over alleged insider trading involving the failed deal for Allergan.

"I want to live life to the fullest and be the best father I can be", Affleck, 44, continued. They have three children together: 11, 8 and 5 years old.

The most stirring moment comes when Affleck reminds us that seeking help is something we should never be ashamed of.

He evokes the people who helped him: his family, his friends, and the mother of his children, Jen " co-parent. This will give director Matt Reeves a ideal platform to work his own magic on "The Batman", while he and Ben Affleck will be able to develop and evolve the film in tandem together.

This is not Affleck's first trip to rehab.

Ben also thanked Jennifer for her huge support during his treatment, with the revelation coming just one week after sources claimed that Ben and Jennifer were giving their marriage another go, however, this is yet to be confirmed.
