Pokemon GO Will Receive Legendary Pokemon Later this Year

Saying that Niantic needs to define Pokemon GO gyms in a way that "works for a mobile game", pointing out that there are no NPCs (non-player characters), Nomura explained that "We're an MMO, and we expect people to play with other people". The CEO however, did not mention the release of legendary Pokemons from the 2 generation. He also stated that he is confident to say that gamers will be seeing more of these Pokemon within this year, although the statement is quite vague, according to Game Rant.

The game had generated $1 billion in revenue as of January, and Niantic CEO John Hanke insists "Pokemon Go" is no passing fad.

One of the biggest problems that plagued the Pokemon GO AR game after its initial hype was the lack of variety of monsters, despite the original game itself having hundreds. These include the game's Global Positioning System drifting problem (something which also affects players ability to take on gyms) and the seemingly everlasting cries for more Pokemon as well as additional gameplay items and more. Nothing was specified by Niantic aside from the fact that they will gradually make several legendary creatures becoming catchable.

The talk is titled, "Augmented Reality and Urban Revitalization" and will see Hanke and Sam Gill of the Knight Foundation discussing the potential for Augmented Reality and other mobile technologies to engage communities in dialogue and activity around public spaces. But these Pokemon are going to be rare and one of a kind. "There are ways to do that with phones, an example of this is Google's Tango technology", he said.

Police operation underway at Dusseldorf train station
Another police spokesman said police were investigating whether more attackers had been involved but had no indication of that. Several people have been injured after being attacked by two men wielding axes at the main railway station in Dusseldorf .

It follows news that a Pokemon Go Plus successor is now being worked on by the development team. The developer has been so far successful in making their game more active as Cnet reports that players walk an extra 2000 steps daily.

"For us, Augmented Reality means that games take place in the real world ..."

The bad news is that you might have to wait a while.

There is now no word on how far Niantic may have gotten in bringing these new devices to the market, it was rumoured at the start of the year that the tech company was close to making an announcement on the subject.
