Andrew Bogut out for remainder of season with broken tibia

According to Fansided, while Bogut is lost, shooting guard J.R. Smith has officially participated practiced Wednesday for the first time since undergoing surgery in late December on a broken right thumb. He began traveling with the Cavs for their March 1 game at Boston.

Smith averaged 8.6 points, 2.1 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.2 steals in 28.9 minutes per game in the 21 he managed to play in to start the season. The Mavericks traded Bogut to Philadelphia two weeks ago and the 76ers waived him, allowing him to sign with the Cavaliers, setting the stage for his injury less than a minute into Monday's 106-98 home loss to Miami.

Having Smith in the lineup versus the Pistons would be a welcome sight as 3-point specialist Kyle Korver (foot) will miss the contest.

In addition, Cavaliers coach Tyronn Lue is being treated for a sinus and inner ear issue. If you asked the Detroit Pistons on Thursday evening, though, they would probably disagree.

He's got a bad leg so had to miss training. "We feel like a good performance is just around the corner", coach Eddie Jones said. Annie is a pretty tricky runner and sometimes she gets off the leash. "Owen Farrell ran into someone at training.

The Cavaliers announced Wednesday that Andrew Bogut (fractured left tibia) has been ruled out for the postseason after being injured just 58 seconds into his team debut on Monday.

The Cavs said Wednesday that Bogut won't need surgery, but he won't be back in time to help Cleveland defend its National Basketball Association title.

Bogut's National Basketball Association future is unknown regardless of whether or not he is waived, as expected, by the Cavaliers as his contract with the team expires at the end of the current season.
