97-year-old twins die on the same day

Sometime after their sister left, the twins fell, which led to their deaths.

The home at 21 Opechee Drive in Barrington, R.I.

The younger sister was not with her older siblings at the time.

Later that night, the younger sister left, and authorities believe Williams may have tripped and fallen in the driveway as she walked out to her auto.

Police say a neighbor reported seeing an elderly woman lying in the driveway of her home.

They have not yet determined an exact cause of death, but it is believed that they were outside all night, where temperatures dipped as low as 13 degrees Fahrenheit.

Investigators believe that Williams, of East Providence, R.I., may have fallen in the driveway walking to her vehicle, according to a police statement. Part of the reason why the police do not suspect foul play was that there was no evidence showing that anything was taken, or that their was foul play in the two women falling down. Police believe that Jean may have seen her sister fall and then tripped up on a garage rug while trying to get help.

They had been last seen by their younger sister earlier on Friday evening when they had dinner together. They were rushed to Rhode Island Hospital in Providence in critical condition, but died shortly after. He often asked them about the secret to a long life and he thinks their upbeat attitude was key.
