Kushners won't buy Miami Marlins if seller becomes United States ambassador

An alleged $1.6 billion deal for Jeffrey Loria to sell the Marlins to a group led by Joshua Kushner and family will be no more if Loria is appointed as the United States' ambassador to France.

While that, on it's surface, is a unusual sentence for baseball fans to read, it does add a conflict of interest to a potential Major League Baseball team sale. The newspaper also noted that an unidentified "former owner of another big league team would be interested in buying the Marlins if the Kushner deal falls apart".

Apparently chief of staff Reince Priebus, who went to school at the University of Miami, pushed for Loria to get the job.

After reports surfaced last week around the Kushner family-yes, the same family with Jared Kushner, the senior advisor to President Donald Trump and husband to Trump's daughter Ivanka-in talks to buy the Marlins, the connection took one step further on Wednesday.

Marlins president David Samson did not return a request for comment. He is advising players and coaches to devote their attention on preparing for the season. You play professionally, you know how to cut out distractions.

"I can't worry about things I can't control", Mattingly said. "It's not like we're getting updates and getting information. It really has nothing to do with what we, at field level, are trying to do". "We don't control it".

Friedman supports the annexation of the West Bank", he called out, while being removed by security guards. He later admitted to Senator Chris Coons that "I've probably contributed to the problem".

Mattingly was a coach with the Dodgers when McCourt and his wife began divorce proceedings in 2009. "And so anything that would be peripheral to that, to me, is just noise".

Mattingly said he has tried not to pay attention to any of it.

"It really is as simple as that". And it really is as simple as that, even though the stories keep coming and they're going to be out there.

There are no other suitors being named for the potential sale.

The potential sale of the Miami Marlins could be on hold due to current owner Jeffrey Loria's diplomatic future. Adding controversy is that his father, Charles Kushner, is a convicted felon.
