Christie: Trump's immigration order hurt from 'terrible' planning

President Donald Trump's "intention" to "protect our country from terrorist attacks" is right, Christie told reporters Tuesday. So-called adjustment aid - allotted to districts in 2008 to ensure they didn't receive less than before the passage of the new formula - has been targeted recently by Senate President Stephen Sweeney (D., Gloucester), who is calling for phasing out the aid and giving more funding to growing school districts.

After being humiliated by Trump, who reportedly made Christie fetch his fast food lunch orders during the campaign, the New Jersey governor has seen his popularity sink to record lows.

"The president deserved much better than the roll-out that he got out of this plan".

New Jersey will not be reopening a landmark case on school funding for the state's poorest districts.

"Time is impacting the lives of these people - the people we represent". "We know that that's not what this policy is".

"This is an extremely serious matter". Coming from the top, it's extremely unsafe because what's the next step? "The fact is when you look at the list of state attorneys general who are moving forward on this, nearly all of them are Democrats", said Christie. And also the surveillance?

Chris Christie's political career is over. About 16 other state attorneys general - mostly Democrats, the governor pointed out - called the executive order unconstitutional.

Many have speculated that Ivanka Trump's husband, Jared Kushner, is to blame for Christie's demise.

Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ) Assigned A Consensus Hold Rating
Looking ahead, analysts on average predict that earnings for the current quarter would come in in the range of $0.95 to $1.05. Pacific Crest restated an equal weight rating on shares of Verizon Communications in a research note on Sunday, October 23rd.

Christie sat for a one-on-one interview with Charlie Rose, but he hadn't addressed testimony from witnesses, including a former aide who wasn't charged with wrongdoing, that suggested he knew about the alleged political payback scheme sooner than he said.

Christie's term in New Jersey ends in 11 months.

"Listen, I think the president in the main is doing what he said he was going to do", Christie said. "I think that just makes the situation worse and doesn't make our country safer, and that should be the goal". Given that, "we anticipate the governor will follow the Abbott rulings" and school-funding formula in his upcoming budget, Sciarra said.

"All of a sudden in year eight, they seem to have an appetite", he said.

Christie wasn't charged in the scheme that closed access lanes in Fort Lee at the start of the school year in 2013, allegedly in retaliation for the town's mayor failing to endorse the governor's re-election.

Christie's office did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

But tenure laws and union agreements "have not been the subject of prior litigation" in the case, the court said in a two-page order Tuesday.

"We have a huge opioid crisis. I don't have that flexibility now because every time I want to spend a dollar differently, I get 'Mother, may I?'" Christie said.
